Safesign Identity Client by AET Europe BV is cross-platform middleware that enables secure use of smart cards and USB cryptographic tokens for strong authentication, digital signing, and data encryption. It exposes standard interfaces—such as PKCS#11, Microsoft CryptoAPI/CNG, and the Microsoft Smart Card Minidriver—so operating systems and applications can seamlessly access keys and certificates stored in hardware. The client includes an intuitive management utility to initialize tokens, set and unblock PINs, generate key pairs on-card, and enroll or manage certificates, while enforcing configurable security policies.
